OPsforAI is an AI automation agency based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, book a call, apply to work with us, or become a client. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you book an audit, apply to be a founding client or email us: your name, work email, business name, website, approximate monthly sales, and what you tell us about your work.
- Client data during a project. If you hire us, we may access data in the tools you connect, such as products, stock levels, orders or support messages. These records can include your customers' personal information.
- Technical information. Our website doesn't set its own tracking cookies. When the page loads, the services that deliver our fonts and styles (Google Fonts and the Tailwind CSS CDN) receive your IP address and browser details, as any web request does. Calendly, our booking tool, may set cookies needed for scheduling when you open the booking page.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, run the audit call you booked, and assess your application.
- To deliver the work you hire us for, under a written agreement.
- To send you follow-up emails about your enquiry. We only send marketing emails with your consent, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use client data for any purpose other than your project.
How we protect client data
- We ask for read-only access wherever a tool allows it, through that tool's own permission settings. We never ask for passwords.
- We keep a written record of the access we hold and remove it when the work ends.
- Our accounts use two-factor sign-in.
- Where an automation uses an AI service to read or draft text, data is sent to that provider only to do the task, under their business terms, and is not used by us to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the business: Google Workspace for email, Calendly for booking calls, Formspree to receive applications sent through our website, and the automation and AI tools a project needs. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their service. Some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and applications that don't lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client project data: deleted or returned within 30 days after the engagement ends, unless your agreement says otherwise.
- Records we must keep for tax or legal reasons: as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it, subject to legal or contract limits. Email opsforai@opsforaiinfo.org and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
